Innovation Contest Meet the Teams

Twelve ASCE student chapter teams journey to the finals.

It all began with twelve extraordinary ASCE innovation contest student teams competing and winning at their participating regional student symposium, outshining over fifty teams from around the nation and abroad. Their cutting-edge innovations tackle critical infrastructure challenges in one of three ASCE Report Card topic areas: drinking water, roads, and energy.

As 2023 summer fades into fall, these teams are collaborating with enthusiastic ASCE younger member volunteers, generously provided by Christopher B. Burke Engineering Ltd. and ASCE’s industry and academic leaders to prepare for the semi-finals competition. Through expert coaching and invaluable feedback, these future civil engineers are honing their innovation stories, perfecting their presentations, and creating eye-catching posters that will captivate your imagination.

The virtual semi-finals take place in September, and the top teams will advance to the highly anticipated finals held at the ASCE Annual Convention.  Join us for this session to take advantage of this opportunity to meet the engineers of tomorrow and learn firsthand about their impressive infrastructure solutions.
