Future Cities Panel

Future World Vision

Our cities are incredible mosaics, reflecting each unique culture and both our collective history as well as our vision of the future. Even though cities require vast resources, their urban density makes them the most efficient places on Earth. Yet urban centers that are unable to evolve to meet the challenges of the 21st century will be left behind as people look elsewhere to build their lives and communities. From 2020 to 2070, climate change and environmental conditions will become more extreme, intensifying threats such as flood and fire. Population growth, demographic change, and urban densification will add to these challenges. Personalized communications and services enabled by new digital ecosystems will grow and provide opportunities.

How are cities of the future going to address these challenges? How will cities of the future look? Join us to learn about the anticipated challenges and solutions from a panel of future city experts.
