Short course: Managing Engineer's Project Risks

Engineers are continuing to face scrutiny and exposure to liability in their practice on a daily basis. ASCE established the Committee on Claims Reduction Management to identify these risks and develop mitigation measures. This workshop will be an active participant workshop that will explore best practices to reduce those risks. We will review the risks associated with the primary project delivery methods, design-bid-build, design-build, and construction manager at risk (aka CMAR, GC/CM and CM/GC.) We will have risk managers from engineering firms as well as insurance companies that will share their experiences. Participants should roll up their sleeves and be ready to discuss experiences.
