Leslie Nolen, CAE, has over 20 years of association management experience, most recently as director of educational activities for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). She directs all aspects of ASCE's efforts related to higher education of civil engineers, including accreditation activities, workshops and conferences for faculty, and development of the Civil Engineering Body of Knowledge. Prior to joining the educational activities department, she served as director of grassroots advocacy for ASCE, developing and producing programs to engage ASCE members with their elected officials at all levels of government. She also served in similar positions at the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (now the Auto Care Association) and the International Downtown Association.
