SEA Airport is a part of the Port of Seattle Commission and just turned 75 years old. SEA has 36 airlines that serve 94 nonstop domestic and 33 international destinations, including Canada, Mexico, and seasonal operations.
By train
Five train routes service Seattle's King Street Station, just south of downtown. Sound Transit's Sounder commuter train spans Everett, north of Seattle, to Lakewood, south of Tacoma. Amtrak has three routes: Coast Starlight travels between Seattle, Portland, and LA. Amtrak Cascades travels between Vancouver, BC; Seattle; Tacoma; Portland; Salem; and Eugene. Empire Builder travels between Chicago and points west to Seattle. Rocky Mountaineer offer high-end travel options between Seattle; Vancouver, BC; and the Canadian Rockies.
Getting around Seattle
Public transportation
Sound Transit's Link Light Rail 1 Line makes trips from Angel Lake Station to Northgate through downtown Seattle, making 17 stops along the way, including downtown Seattle and SEA Airport.
King County Metro Transit offers bus service in downtown Seattle and outlying neighborhoods.
Seattle Street Cars offer two lines. The South Lake Union line connects the South Lake Union neighborhood to Seattle's vibrant downtown core. The First Hill line consists of 10 stops and stretches 2.5 miles, connecting to Link Light Rail in Capitol Hill, the Sounder Commuter Rail and Amtrak at the King Street Station, and the Metro Transit buses.
Seattle Center Monorail offers a fast easy way to get between Westlake Center and Seattle Center. This is the perfect way to get to the Space Needle and nearby sights.
