As Executive Director of Probable Futures, Alison bridges the gap between climate science and public understanding, using her unique blend of arts experience and climate expertise to make critical information accessible and actionable. She convenes leaders across science, design, technology, business, and culture to develop climate tools and resources that are both scientifically rigorous and highly useful to diverse audiences.
Alison's work focuses on translating climate data into meaningful narratives that help people around the world and across industries understand and prepare for climate impacts. Her approach combines strategic communications, cross-sector collaboration, and creative storytelling—skills honed through nearly a decade in climate work and rooted in her background in the arts. In 2023, she was recognized as one of the Grist 50 climate leaders for making climate data accessible and meaningful.
Beyond her executive role, Alison serves as a Senior Fellow for Communications at Woodwell Climate Research Center, where she previously held the position of Vice President for Strategy and Advancement. Her earlier career included leadership roles in cultural institutions such as the New Bedford Whaling Museum, Norton Museum of Art, Ballet Gamonet, and the Jerry Herman Ring Theater.
